The Barn offers a serene and historic setting for commemorating the life of a loved one. Built in 1342, the Barn is a Grade II* listed building and one of the finest surviving examples of a medieval tithe barn in England. Its tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surroundings provide a peaceful backdrop for a celebration of life.
The Barn is a historic building so while we can be flexible with arrangements in many ways, there are some inevitable limitations. If you have an idea but aren’t sure if it will work, we’re very happy to discuss arrangements.
You are welcome to arrange your own catering for the wake. The Barn’s facilities allow for flexibility in catering choices, ensuring that the refreshments meet the needs and preferences of the attendees.
- The main Barn is not fully heated. From mid-spring to mid autumn it is comfortable, and pleasantly cool in the height of summer.
- We are not able to run a bar for you, you’ll need to arrange your own drinks.
